Huanglong Vanke Knowledge CityHangzhou, China
Located in Hangzhou, the site was originally planned as a campus of office/laboratory space and technology-park. With a total GFA of approximately 400,000sqm, it includes six high-rise office towers and some supporting F&B at the podiums.
After re-exploring the potential of the project, the Huanglong Vanke Knowledge City has been given a brand-new social responsibility in fulfilling the ideas of “New Economy, New Environment and New Huanglong” for Hangzhou, with which the project aims high to rejuvenate this old district by creating a new icon of knowledge-based development. This will not just be another commercial development, but an eventful public space for Huanglong, a bench-mark redevelopment project for the Hangzhou city.
Leigh & Orange has been commissioned to re-design two parcels (E/F & C/D) of this development, which involves four 60-80m tall high-rise office towers with four levels of commercial podium and basement including retail, F&B anchors, a conference centre, a nursery, and a clubhouse, with underground direct connection to a metro station. Further to the client’s vision of this old district, Leigh & Orange has committed to designing a brand new Huanglong Mixed-use Project which will be a piece of material proof of Huanglong’s urban revitalisation.
