Counting down to the launch of Leigh & Orange’s 150th Anniversary Book

Founded in 1874 in Hong Kong, Leigh & Orange proudly celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, marking a significant milestone. We are excited to announce our commemorative book is on the horizon.

Since the 1980s, efforts to document the firm’s rich history have been made, but this is the first to come to fruition. After four and a half years of dedicated work we are proud to bring this long-held vision to life. Our passionate team has been on a mission, delving deep into the L&O archives and uncovering fascinating materials such as early drawings, plans, and historic project photos. We have conducted research with over twenty in-depth interviews with current and former partners, academia, and leading industry professionals, all contributing to the vivid tale of L&O’s architectural journey.

This book is not just about buildings. It is a testament to the people, innovations and milestones that have defined L&O over the past century and a half. It highlights our close ties to Hong Kong’s urban development and our expansion into many global cities.
