From Vision to Ground-breaking: Powering Hong Kong’s Digital Future
On 28th March 2026, Leigh and Orange joined Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, and Runze Intelligent Computing Technology Group for the ground-breaking ceremony of the Range (Hong Kong) Sandy Ridge Data Facility Cluster.
As the Lead Consultant and Architect, L&O undertakes the master planning, architectural and interior design. L&O, being committed to humanity and innovation, integrated the sophisticated demands for high-performance computing facility with human-centric workplace environments. We are at the helm of a development that will play an important role in Northern Metropolis, supporting the next century of innovation in Hong Kong.
L&O’s devotion in this project presented L&O’s commitment to the development of critical infrastructure in Hong Kong. Having a gross floor area of 250,000sm, the completed cluster is expected to:
- Deliver 180,000 PFLOPS of computing power—36 times Hong Kong’s current capacity.
- Support the Greater Bay Area’s data industry and the “Southern Finance, Northern I&T” development strategy.
- Represent an initial investment of HK$23.8 billion and create more than 180 high-tech jobs.
