KingMed Diagnostics Group’s new headquarters complex tops out on Guangzhou Bio Island

The new headquarters complex of Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group Co., Ltd., designed by Leigh & Orange (L&O), celebrated its topping-out ceremony on the Guangzhou International Bio Island in late April 2024. Commissioned by the KingMed Diagnostics Group in April 2021, L&O was tasked with planning and designing a 16-acre parcel at the southern edge of the Bio Island, which would serve as the group’s new corporate headquarters.

L&O’s design not only caters precisely to the client’s functional requirements, but also explores innovative approaches to industrial park architecture. By seamlessly integrating the surrounding natural landscape into the site planning and design, utilising cascading landscape platforms to highlight the site’s topographical features, each production facility is afforded a visually captivating setting. This also provides the research staff with pleasant outdoor respite areas, cultivating a work environment that prioritises employee wellness – a core tenet of the original “Bio-island within an Bio-island” design concept.

The project is slated for completion by the end of 2025.
