Leigh & Orange hosts memorable cocktail reception for 150th anniversary
We were honoured to conclude the celebrations of Leigh & Orange’s 150th anniversary with a spectacular cocktail reception on 18th October 2024. This grand finale reflects our unwavering commitment to visionary developments. It was a privilege to host our esteemed guest of honour, Mr. Victor Tai, Undersecretary for Housing, alongside over 200 distinguished guests and industry leaders. Mr. Tai delivered an enlightening speech, highlighting our collaborative efforts and the importance of “working side by side” with the HKSAR government on milestone projects such as the Kai Tak Sports Park, Yuen Long Stadium and other innovative initiatives in the past.
“We are grateful to those who have supported L&O for many years, introducing new opportunities and opening up new horizons each and every year. From its humble beginnings, L&O has been lucky to work with visionary clients to realise marvellous landmarks around the world”, stated Managing Director Ivy Lee in her speech.
The evening was engaging and full of energy, featuring a contemporary dance showcase that beautifully interpreted L&O’s 150-year journey. Accompanied by an original soundtrack and dynamic video animations of our past and present projects and future aspirations, the dancers delivered a captivating performance.
To commemorate this milestone, all guests received a set of bespoke souvenirs, including our 150th anniversary book, Building Cadences: Leigh and Orange – Architects since 1874, which promises an engaging and delightful read. Additionally, guests were gifted an exclusive set of espresso cups featuring six iconic buildings from L&O’s portfolio, serving as both a practical keepsake and a token of our gratitude.
We extend our deepest thanks to all our distinguished guests for making this event so meaningful and we look forward to embarking and collaborating on many exciting projects together!
