Social Innovation Symposium : “Transitional Social Housing – Deliver with Expediency and Decency”
L&O Managing Director, Ivy Lee, is pleased to join a live streaming Social Innovation Symposium “Transitional Social Housing – Deliver with Expediency and Decency”, hosted by PolyU Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation (JCDISI). Keynote speakers and panelists from different disciplines shared their project experiences and the current trend of Transitional Social Housing (TSH), whilst exploring how to facilitate the supply of TSH from policy, social and technical perspectives. Ivy shared her views, design and construction experience on how Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) could possibly deliver TSH with speed and alleviate the housing pressure, taking the recent MiC project ‘InnoCell’ as an example.
L&O obtained the first GBP Approval from Buildings Department for adopting MiC in Hong Kong, and is recently involved in a number of MiC projects: InnoCell located in the Hong Kong Science Park, temporary quarantine facilities, MiC pre-acceptance submissions, as well as research projects in collaboration with JCDISI on transitional housing.
