Chung Chi Student Development Complex, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Shatin, Hong Kong

The Chung Chi Student Development Complex is a pioneering project in Chung Chi Campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to redevelop and expand the existing campus into a student-oriented, healthy and green campus by encouraging student participation, walkability and sustainability throughout the master planning and architectural design. The approximate site area and construction floor area is 2,240sqm and 6,900sqm respectively. A wide range of student amenities will be accommodated in this complex for the sake of establishing and promoting sense of belonging to the college and development of holistic education. Due to the topographical constraint and the existing level difference of the flat platforms within the site, two new building blocks are proposed to allocate in different level and a two-storey height connection bridge are designed across the slope for providing direct connectivity between the building.
