Extension of Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC)

Hong Kong International Airport, Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong, China

The redevelopment project involves the expansion and enhancement of the spatial and service qualities of the existing Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) at Hong Kong International Airport.

A striking canopy will serve as an iconic architectural feature, welcoming private aircraft. This canopy, which is probably the largest of its kind in Asia, will be cantilevered from the three-story New Extension Building (NEB), providing approximately 555sqm of GFA. The entrance will feature glass walls that frame views of the private jets on the airside, highlighting the essence of this aviation centre.

Additionally, a single-story New Customer Support Facility (NCSF) will consist of three interconnected structures, linked by a covered walkway for group visits and pet quarantine. The total GFA of the NCSF will be approximately 1,704sqm. The project is designed with the goal of achieving BEAM Plus Platinum and LEED Gold accreditation.
