Hong Kong Science Park Phase II

Pak Shek Kok, Hong Kong

Science Park Phase II development is designed to accommodate applied research and development facilities. It contains eight high-tech buildings comprising two Energy Towers and six R&D office buildings (four of which are combined provisions for laboratory facilities) and is set in a park-like campus environment for the enjoyment of both tenants and public alike.

The overall site and individual buildings are served by an energy-saving district cooling system, creating a sustainable environment capitalising on a seafront location. Highly adaptable buildings with energy-efficient features are carefully placed in a landscaped setting to maximise sea views. The design encourages and sustains social interaction amongst park users and provides a much cherished public open space in urban Hong Kong. L&O’s services included masterplanning, architectural design, interior design and project leadership in the multi-disciplinary consultant team.
