Jockey Club School of Chinese Medicine Building, Hong Kong Baptist University

This building is the first purpose-built School of Chinese Medicine Building in Hong Kong. It accommodates an out-patient clinic, research laboratories, exhibition hall, library, seminar rooms and classrooms. The ground floor is double the composed of column and bean structure to give maximun flexibility for future layout.

The design of the School of Medicine strives for simplicity. A straightforward liner spine has larger accommodations hinging off on one side whilst smaller ones on the other side. The floor area can easily be adapted to an open plan configuration to house exhibition area, library and lecture theatres or with double spines for layouts with smaller areas.
